Model overview based on user reviews
The Denon PMA-600NE is an integrated amplifier that offers a mix of features and performance. Users appreciate its normal design and the presence of almost all necessary inputs and outputs, including Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in DAC. It provides plenty of power for 8-ohm speakers, with a satisfactory sound quality that doesn't require tone adjustments. However, some users criticize the use of standard operational amplifiers, which they feel compromises sound quality. The device is noted for its decent performance for the price, although it lacks a USB input and has dim indicators. Overall, it is recommended for those seeking a good sound experience, especially in a 2.1 system setup.
Pros
Cons
Good device with 70 watts per channel. Drives a pair of Deluxe Acoustics DAF-350 speakers + Yamaha subwoofer in a 26 m2 room, never raised the volume above 50%. Sound depends not only on the amplifier, but also on the speakers and the room's acoustic design. Amplifier rated at 5+. Subwoofer Output Bluetooth Built-in DAC Phono Preamp Sufficient Number of Inputs Output for 1 pair of speakers, but if you consider the system as 2.1, that is not a drawback. |
Normal design, quite satisfactory sound, presence of almost all necessary inputs and outputs, overall a decent device for relatively little money. Plenty of power for my 8-ohm Yamaha, I don't set the volume control above 12 o'clock; no need to adjust the tone, enough highs and lows. Bluetooth connects automatically when a signal from the tablet appears. Overall, the impressions from the purchase and two months of use are mostly positive so far. Slightly dim power, volume, and input switch indicators, hard to see. It warms up a bit, even without a signal. No USB. |
To stoop so low as to use standard operational amplifiers in an integrated amplifier is beyond understanding. Denon has always been the last to adopt innovations, and the first to forget about them unless it's a downturn. In downturns, Denon is a pioneer and trailblazer. And now they've come up with a brilliant idea - let's put OP-AMPs in our amplifiers, cheap OP-AMPs, with the same specs on paper, and raise the price once again, the people will take it... And here it is - amplifiers with OP-AMPs inside. The bottom has been reached. Denon and casing the sound is terrible. |
