awesome model, after this miracle came out against the backdrop of phantoms, everyone thought it was a small toy (although now a trio came out, but at that time it was a shock), I had the experience of using Phantom 3 once (I didn’t buy it, I just flew it once) - well, it to the bathhouse, and this one is just super, although when I held the trilo in my hands I was completely freaked out well, it’s clear that the most trump point is the dimensions, this is the moment when it really adds up, it generally takes a show-off in the chumadan, I’m generally silent against the backdrop of phantoms, it’s just something to transport in a car, no more no less, stabilization works very well on 4k video, although then this format is of no use, in reality everyone watches in full HD, the quality of the picture is not very cool, I tried the entire modern range from GI mixed feelings - essentially, due to its small weight, it blows away with a fairly small wind, realistically, if you need to fly calmly and the wind from practice is 5-6 m/sec or more, then that’s it - get your oars ready, the second important point, but this was already clear - At night you can only remove a black hole))) |
For me, only DJI is the top among quad manufacturers. I bought a Mavic for myself as a gift for Christmas. After 3 months of use, a certain opinion has already formed. The 4K camera at 30 frames per second takes a simply gorgeous picture, and the protective cap for the camera is simply a must-have for every quadcopter for filming in bad weather (but it’s worth considering that the quality deteriorates a little). But the viewing angle could have been larger; 78.8 degrees looks a bit unreasonable. They did a great job of controlling it via phone. You can control either a telephone without a remote control, or a remote control without a telephone, or both equipment and a telephone - well, cool =) I would like in the 21st century to have greater autonomy from one battery, since on one charge of one battery, on average in good weather, you can fly in around 25 minutes. If you don’t quibble with small nuances, overall this is a gorgeous pocket drone for amateur photography with an awesome camera and a bunch of goodies on board. Camera and protective cap for it, compact, well-assembled design without backlash Flight time on one battery (fortunately there is more than one included =) ) |
If you are interested in beautiful videos on YouTube shot from a quadcopter, but you have never dealt with such equipment, then you should start with something simpler. My story is different, I, so to speak, upgraded the class and I must admit that after a simple model with an inferior FullHD resolution camera, this device is simply bomb. The first thing I really like about it is the stabilization. It works wonderfully, even handles a light breeze with high quality. After my previous two-hundred-dollar drone, the difference is very noticeable and positively affects the shooting quality. Secondly, I'll praise the image quality. It records full 4K video at 30 fps excellently. However, purchasing a 4K TV is still in the planning stages, and my monitor is only 2560x1400, but the difference from Full HD in small details is noticeable to the naked eye. The 1080p here is also great, at 60 fps the image is so smooth that my inner perfectionist sheds a tear of joy. And this isn't the limit, the frame rate can be increased to 96 fps, though at this rate the TV refuses to play the video clip. Takes heartfelt photos, you can get 12-megapixel RAW frames and turn them into a masterpiece in Lightroom. Thirdly, I was pleased with the object tracking system, which is active and intuitive – you select a car with a tap on the smartphone screen, and the drone locks on, flies ahead, and records. The package is rich, I specifically got it with two additional batteries and spare propellers. It flies far and is quite fast. And the cherry on top is the foldable design; when folded, it fits perfectly in a backpack. And the drone itself is lightweight. The control isn't simple, you need to read the instructions right away and carefully. Even if you have experience with "aviation," it might differ. For example, I couldn't understand for a long time why the drone wouldn't go beyond 30 meters, and it turned out that I just needed to turn off the beginner mode.)) Gusty wind, even if not particularly strong, isn't well compensated by the control system. According to the instructions, the flash drive capacity is limited to 64 gigs, which isn't much for 4K video. For now, I'm flying with such a UHS card from my DSLR. |
DJI Mavic Pro is a compact drone with a “hardware” from the top-end DJI Phantom 4. From the older brother, the “baby” got a camera and a sensor system that determines the flight parameters and recognizes obstacles along the way.
compactness
Thanks to the foldable design, the quadcopter fits into any backpack or can be hung directly on the operator's belt. In addition, the weight of the drone barely exceeds 700 g, which is very important when traveling. On the other hand, the low weight makes the model sensitive to gusts of wind, so it is not recommended to soar into the air on it in windy weather.
Long distance flights
Using the supplied remote control, it is possible to make an air tour up to 7 km from the starting point. And if you control the copter from a smartphone or tablet, then the flight radius will be limited by the Wi-Fi signal strength (about 50-80 m). In the air, DJI Mavic Pro is capable of speeds up to 65 km/h. In this case, the flight time under perfect conditions will be about 27 minutes.
Photo and video filming
The camera on board the drone proved to be the best in DJI Phantom 4. It is mounted on a gimbal that stabilizes the image along two axes and supports video recording in Cinema 4K (4096x2160 pixels, 24 fps), as well as in 4K formats (3840x2160 pixels, 24/25/30 fps), FullHD and HD. Shooting photos at a resolution of 4000x3000 pixels is carried out in a "raw" RAW format, which opens up wide features in post-processing of images.
Gesture recognition
One of the innovations introduced in DJI Mavic Pro was the gesture recognition system — the copter learned to change the shooting angle with a wave of the hand and perform a number of other useful functions (for example, refocus from one shooting object to another). As a result, DJI has got a really cool drone for everyday flights, which provides uncompromising image quality without burdening its owner with large dimensions and extra weight.

This function allows the quadcopter to follow the selected object. This does not require special bracelets or beacons, unlike the "Follow me" function. The camera takes a 3D image of the subject and keeps it in the centre of the frame even if it is moving.
