Design

The SP-HF160 stereo system is designed for both laptops and desktop computers. Lightweight (0.6 kg) and compact speakers do not take up much space on your desktop. Their classic faceted rectangular design in black or cherry MDF will fit into any interior, and solid build will ensure long-term trouble-free operation.

Powered by USB type A, the SP-HF160 is perfect not only for home use, but also for outdoor presentations and outdoor activities. Cord length of 1.2 m allows you to conveniently place the system near the source. In this context, the lack of mains power can hardly be considered a disadvantage.

Sound and control

The sound of two SP-HF160 satellites with a total power rating of 4 W is characterized by a reproducible frequency range within 160 Hz — 18 kHz. As you can see, the low-frequency range (up to 200 Hz) is used quite a bit, but, thanks to the MDF cabinet, the presence of a dynamic frequency filter and the built-in amplifier, the 2.5-inch speakers reproduce the upper low-frequency range and low mids quite confidently. The overall sound is clear, balanced and deep.

Of the adjustments — only the "Volume" knob on the rear panel, although for the operating range it would be possible to add a mid-range and high-frequency control. There is a standard 3.5 mm mini-jack for connecting headphones.

Given the affordable price, Genius SP-HF160 is a standby option for providing sound without increased demands on its quality.
