I recently took it to replace a gasoline saw, and there really is a difference! The very first thing that differs is the operating volume - the battery-powered one is actually quieter in comparison. It’s not silent, but if, for example, my wife comes up and calls me for dinner, I can hear what she’s telling me, that is, I don’t have to turn off the instrument. I was pleased with the setup of the chain, the regulator and the screw are all ingeniously simple, no unnecessary steps. Automatic lubrication is also a plus, again, no problems with this. I didn’t come across any huge logs, but I cut down the old cherry and chestnut trees in the front garden without any problems, the sawing was brisk. The battery charge is naturally not infinite, but it is enough to cut down and cut a tree into firewood. For a dacha, I think it’s a ok option. Does not overheat
A good performant saw with a 400 mm bar for cutting thick logs. It has a DigiPro brushless motor with increased efficiency (compared to a brushed counterpart). At the same time, the device never overheats during operation — at maximum loads, the engine temperature is less than 32 degrees. Electronic protection will turn off the device to avoid breakage when the tyre is jammed or clamped in the barrel.
Keyless chain tension
The device is equipped with a 4 Ah battery (not included), which is enough for half an hour or 110 cuts in a 10x10 cm timber. It is also suitable for other battery devices in the Greenworks range. Among other things, the design provides a keyless tensioner — the chain is tensioned in seconds without keys and a screwdriver. The oil tank has a transparent indicator that will show the oil level in the saw. The lid with the neck is located on top, not on the side, so oil will not leak during storage (a common problem with side-mouth saws). It is worth noting that the chain rotation speed here is rather low, only 11 m / s, so it will take longer to cut thick logs. But on the other hand, the price for it is relatively small, which makes it more affordable for most buyers.
