The speaker from the Harman Kardon Aura series primarily focuses on its appearance and original design. The design consists of a base with a fabric surface and a transparent dome, under which there is an installation in the form of numerous crystals. Both the crystals and the dome enhance the backlighting effect, so the speaker looks interesting, especially in the dark. There are 5 animated backlight themes and several brightness levels to choose from.

The device is designed for home use as stationary acoustics and is not a portable gadget: it is powered only from the mains, and the speaker itself takes up enough space (dimensions 283.6x232x232 mm, weight 3.6 kg). For audio playback, the Harman Kardon Aura Studio 4 features a 130mm down-firing subwoofer that produces deep, rich bass, and six 40mm speakers located around the perimeter of the base.
