The Japanese company Honda is known for a wide range of different equipment with durable branded engines. The ET12000 gasoline generator will be an excellent assistant at a construction site, in a workshop or on a large estate.
Thoughtful design
The frame, in which equipment with dimensions of 973x552x637mm and a weight of 150 kg is placed, can be equipped with wheels and a transport hook, but they will have to be purchased separately, which will increase the already considerable cost. The level of protection of IP 23 working nodes will not please you too much — the generator can be used outdoors, but it is better not to do this in severe weather.
"Heart" of the unit
The Honda GX620 engine allows the device to generate up to 11 kW, which is enough for backup power of a medium-sized mansion. On the case there are 2 single-phase sockets and 1 three-phase power connector for connecting powerful equipment. For 1 hour of full load operation, the unit consumes 5 liters of gasoline, so a 31-liter tank will last for 6 hours, which is a very good result. Fuel level and oil level indicators will inform you in time about the need to refuel.
The two-cylinder engine is started from an electric starter. There is no autostart function in the model, so in the event of a sudden power outage, you will have to start the generator manually, but it starts “half a turn”.
Additional "chips"
Thanks to the auto-regulator (AVR), the unit produces a uniform voltage in any situation. Voltmeter data, hour metre and other parameters are displayed on a small display.
Not too noisy unit and in operation — 72 dB at a distance of 7 metres. But in the immediate vicinity, the noise increases to critical 101 dB, so it is better to keep the unit at home somewhere in a separate outbuilding or basement.
Honda ET12000 takes reliability and an excellent level of protection, which allows it to be used frequently and under heavy loads. An excellent, although not cheap (about $ 5000) choice for home and production.
