Fire flower

An important design detail is the flame protection system from the wind. It is made in the form of metal petals installed around the circumference of the burner. It is enough to lift them up (which is very similar to the closing of a flower bud) and even a very strong wind will not be able to extinguish the flame. At the same time, the petals serve as a heat reflector that raises the temperature inside the structure, which increases the heating rate. The latter, by the way, is 288 seconds per liter of water. A little less than five minutes is a good indicator for camping burners, despite the fact that only 150 g of fuel is required per hour of operation.

Push and turn

Very useful design features include a piezoelectric element and a fuel supply regulator. The first allows you to start a fire with the press of just one button, which causes a spark, like modern household stoves. And the second makes it possible to control the gas supply, and hence its consumption, and the heating temperature. But only on long hikes or in difficult weather conditions, automatic ignition can fail, and you will have to resort to the help of matches. But it is impossible to call a piezoelectric element unreliable, so this is, nevertheless, a virtue.

Convenient and compact

Also note the presence of a special bag for carrying the burner. The case is durable, made of dense waterproof fabric and has a narrow strap over the lid as a handle. It can be easily attached to a hiking backpack using a carabiner or fastex straps. The only drawback is the weight of 470 g, and this is with a removable cylinder. Almost half a kilo of mass can be a critical indicator for a hike (especially long-distance and multi-day), in which every gram counts.

Compact but heavy torch compatible with most collet type gas cylinders. It's cheap and heats up quickly.
