Collet

— a collet is a special type of clamp, which, in this case, is mounted on a burner. The cylinder itself has a rod — a short tube in the upper part, which is clamped in the collet during installation. Therefore, such cylinders are sometimes called rod or choke; and due to the fact that a similar design is used in household aerosols, the slang name “dichlorvos” is also found. Cylinders for collets are cheaper than threaded ones, but less durable. They are widely used in slabs where the mentioned strength is not required due to the nature of the application (long-term stationary parking).
