Powerful Drive
The machine features a 4-stroke Loncin engine adapted to low temperatures, with a power of 5.5 HP and a performance of 1700 cubic meters per hour. It is recommended to fuel the unit with 92-grade gasoline. The tank capacity is 3.6 liters, which is enough for 1.5 – 2 hours of operation.
Automatic Oil Level Control
To ensure a long-lasting engine, the oil viscosity should be chosen according to the temperature conditions where the snowblower is planned to be used, with the first replacement made after the first 5 hours of operation. If there is insufficient oil in the engine, it will not start, so it is necessary to maintain the level at its maximum, aided by a float-type control sensor.
High Maneuverability
The SN-5500 starts only with a manual starter. Minimalistic, yet practical. A multi-speed gearbox (5 forward, 2 reverse) ensures high maneuverability and allows snow removal even on slopes. Add to this wide wheels with deep treads, and you get a fairly productive assistant capable of practically independently dealing with breaking and clearing dense snow crust.
Overload Protection
To prevent auger breakage when hard objects get into it, it is attached to the shaft with special pins designed to shear in case of a mechanism jam. If this happens, it is important to replace the sheared pins with similar ones, as a stronger pin may cause equipment damage.
Adjustments for Chute Position and Auger Height
The position of the chute for snow discharge can be adjusted within an angle of 180º and in height, which means the throwing distance can vary between 10 – 15 meters.
The auger height is also adjustable, but the process is not quick; special skid bolts are provided at the bottom on the sides of the bucket for this purpose.
