Solid, good and necessary.
31 October 2013
Just brought it from the store, my husband ordered quick bread. I baked it and was worried it wouldn't turn out well, as I had read that many people have trouble with the accelerated program. And, WOW! A miracle! It not only turned out well, it was PERFECT (that evening, both the oven and I were at our best), by the way, I baked it later too and it always turned out well, people even ordered this bread from me (it turns out denser than usual). I baked Borodinsky bread with beer on program 1, took the recipe from Khlebopechka.ru. Once I set it with the timer overnight (it doesn't beep with the timer), and as soon as the smell of baking bread reached the bedroom, my husband got up for work 30 minutes before the alarm.

To keep an eye on the bread during the process, I got a flashlight (you don't need to open the bread maker while it's working) and scales are a must.
I've been using it since March and have baked white, Borodinsky, Darnitskiy bread (with rye flour, you need to experiment at first to see what works: whether to add water or flour, and it's important to help gather the flour with a spatula during the first kneading; for wheat, you don’t need to do this), dough for dumplings (pizza, pies), quick bread, and also created my own recipe on the fly, so to speak.

Another advantage of this bread maker is the weight settings of 500/750/1000 grams. For our family of three adults, 500 grams is enough for two weekend days. I'm glad we didn't get the 750/1000 gram bread maker as we would always have had leftover pieces of old bread, and I really don't like throwing bread away.
As I understand it, if there are no technical faults, then in everything else the hands-hooks are to blame (I mean myself).

I received this as a birthday gift and have been using it for three and a half years, having gone through six bags of flour. The only problem I've encountered is that it broke the bushing in the bucket, and I had to craft a new one out of bronze, so I'm not sure how long it will last. If anyone has issues with the shaft jamming, pour cold water over it after each bake as instructed, and turn the shaft several times to clean and wipe it. The outcome with the dough depends not on the bread maker but on the flour and yeast. Recipes are all about your imagination. Ingredient quantities can be found in any cookbook, usually based on 1 kg. A tip: if for some reason the bread isn't rising well, which is visible at the end before baking, cancel the program, wait until it rises, and then start the baking program, which I believe is the twelfth one. I've made both rye bread and bread with hop yeast, experimenting with different programs.
Easy to handle.
No.

pedantic Englishwoman

The English company Kenwood can be safely attributed to the guru of kitchen appliances. The Kenwood BM 250 bread maker has not fallen out of the range of useful and high-quality devices either, immediately attracting attention with an interesting design solution and high-quality assembly.

Easy control

At first glance, attention is drawn to the control panel with analogue buttons and a small display. To prepare a fragrant loaf, you do not need instructions, everything is very simple and clear. Despite the minimal availability of buttons, the manufacturer has included 12 automatic programs, among which there are classic recipes and the ability to make a cake, which can then be flavored with fresh jam from the same bread machine.

Perfect batch

According to users, the “dough kneading” programme deserves special attention: kneading and proving are no worse than in the industrial sector, even if you use wholemeal flour or add coarse-grained ingredients.

Always fresh breakfast

For those who like to have breakfast only with fresh toast, the “express baking” mode will be a godsend, with the help of which fragrant bread will appear on the table in just 58 minutes.

According to the needs of the family, you can choose the size of bread: 500, 750 or 1000 grams, as well as the degree of baking from the three presented.

Prescription only

However, there are complaints about the quality of the cooked bread: it is poorly baked, the crust burns. In order not to face such disappointments and not spoil the product, you must strictly follow the instructions that come with the kit, and for the exact dosage of ingredients, get a kitchen scale.

Minor disadvantages include the heating of the handle, therefore, to open the lid after baking, you must use an oven mitt or a towel.
