Outdated Product
A simple low-cost gasoline generator. It can "pull" a load of 2.5 kW (or 2.8 kW, taking into account short-term inrush currents). Electricity is generated by a 6.5-horsepower motor that rotates a synchronous alternator with aluminium winding. At a load of 50% of the rated power, the internal combustion engine consumes about 1.25 liters of gasoline per hour of operation. An automatic voltage regulator (AVR) is responsible for the quality of electricity produced by the Konner & Sohnen Basic KS 2800A generator. Its operation can be monitored using an analog voltmeter on the front panel. There are also “positive” and “negative” terminals of the 12 V output, intended for charging car batteries. The security systems that the device boasts include only the bare minimum: 16 A circuit breakers that...protect against overloads at sockets, and a fuse that turns off the engine if the oil level in the crankcase is too low.
