Most laptops in the sub-$400-500 category are work bees designed purely for study or office use. Lenovo Ideapad 330 17 is just in this category. But unlike office counterparts, it looks strict and modern.

The body of the laptop is completely made of plastic. The lid is black and the rest of the body is grey. The case is practically not prone to fingerprints and stains, it always looks neat.

17" display with wide viewing angles

The Ideapad 330 17 has a standard 17.3-inch TN+film anti-glare display with a resolution of 1600x900 pixels. On the positive side, it has large viewing angles for this type of matrix, which is useful if several people watch movies on a laptop. From the negative — not a very good transmission with dull colours and a small margin of brightness. Although if a laptop is bought primarily for work, then this is not particularly critical.

The laptop is powered by an Intel Pentium 4415U processor from the modern Kaby Lake family. It has only 2 cores with an operating frequency of 2.3 GHz, but good energy efficiency, which allows you not to waste battery resources. Considering the integrated Intel HD 610 graphics and 4 GB of RAM, it becomes obvious that this model was born for the office, word processing, spreadsheets and web surfing.

Cold and silent

This equipment allows you to forget about one of the problems of modern laptops — heating under high load. Even during an extended period of use, this model from Lenovo did not get hotter than 34 degrees. From here, another plus grows — the laptop is almost silent.

The list of ports and communications of the laptop includes two USB 3.1 connectors, one USB-C, an HDMI video output, a card reader and a standard audio output. In general, a standard set for 2018, including everything you need. The same goes for the battery, which lasts up to 6 hours when using a balanced power supply. But the presence of fast charging is a definite plus. But in the minuses you can write down the absence of any pre-installed operating system. Neither Windows nor Linux with Endless OS is here.
