A line of stylish, powerful, well-equipped and quite expensive laptops from the Lenovo Legion product line updated in 2022. Despite the strong association of the Legeion series with gaming laptops, the Pro prefix in the name hints that these devices are ready for professional work that requires serious computing power. Based on the 11th generation Intel Core i7 (Tiger Lake) 8-core platform and NVIDIA graphics cards from the Ampere family.
The most popular option is the mid-range GPU model RTX 3060, less often there are laptop modifications with RTX 3070 on sale. The video card is equipped with separate cores for hardware ray tracing, as well as the implementation of DLSS and other machine learning technologies. System performance is provided by 16 to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and a high-speed NVMe SSD with a capacity of up to 1024 GB.
In rare modifications of the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16ITH6H, 2 drives with a capacity of 1024 GB each are installed at once. Such a combination provides a high level of performance both in modern gaming blockbusters and in professional applications for photo / audio / video processing, compiling, rendering, etc. Responsible for cooling proprietary cooling system Legion Coldfront third generation with support for intelligent control and advanced features for additional customization of cooling modes.
All laptops in the series are equipped with high-end 16-inch IPS displays with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels (16:10 aspect ratio), an increased refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, support for HDR10/Dolby Vision formats, natural color reproduction (100% sRGB gamut, Pantone certified) and an embedded system NVIDIA G-Sync Adaptive Sync. Other strengths of the series include built-in Dual Burn overclocking software, extremely flexible battery settings, a proprietary TrueStrike keyboard with gaming-friendly switches, a modern network controller, modern connection ports (HDMI 2.1 and USB 4), Thunderbolt support and a capacious battery with fast charging.

Design; Performance; Screen; Very beautiful in white color; Keyboard; in terms of heating, the body did not perform very well, especially considering that the regular Legion 5 15ach6h version with almost similar specifications was barely warm. Very strange, but perhaps someone "fiddled" with it, as it was in a used condition. |
One of the most successful and best laptops at the moment. I didn’t expect Lenovo to be capable of this. Extremely pleasantly surprised. The machine is so perfectly balanced, and everything is made by people for people, that it’s hard to believe. The main difference from all other brands and models of gaming machines is that Lenovo engineers have created a very successful cooling system design, which allowed for less restriction on the GPU's TDP, including all models: 3060, 3070, 3080. In my modification, it’s the 3070, running at a peak of 140 watts. For comparison, the poor MSI Katana 3080 is squeezed into an 80-watt thermal package. It results in an absurd situation where a 3070 laptop, costing 15-20% less, has higher performance than a 3080 laptop. Successful understated design with aluminum top and bottom cover. Excellent cooling system. Thanks to this - great performance due to the maximum installed thermal package. Good upgrade options for RAM and M.2 A decent matrix, with excellent brightness and RGB level. Configurations without pre-installed OS - result - saving 200 bucks. Convenient port output from the rear. Fantastic, but they are not there. If there's anything to nitpick, it's the lack of a card reader and the bulky PSU, but it's a 300-watt one, so that's understandable. |
In demanding games like Cyberpunk2077, the laptop heated up to 91°C, but with this processor, undervolting is available without loss of performance, temperatures range from 70-82 degrees, I consider this a very good result without disabling turbo boost. A very high-performance laptop, beautiful appearance, beautiful customizable backlighting, very good image quality, 10-bit matrix, which is very important. If undervolting were blocked on the INTEL i7-11800H, that would be the only and biggest drawback. |
