Good balance, a fairly thick, sturdy blade, and despite the metal handle, it fits well in the hand. Probably just that it doesn't fit in a standard knife tray) |
What should you do when you have a big depression? Right, go and buy knives. And that's exactly what I did. It was a spontaneous decision; I was just walking through the shopping center, went into the knife department, and realized that I was missing a large knife for the kitchen, only having small and medium ones. But there was no knife that could rule them all. I looked around, turned it over, and came home with this beauty. It looks like a single piece, meaning the blade transitions into the handle without seams. At first, I was scared that metal wasn't the best option for the handle, but no, it turned out to be the opposite. The handle fits well in the hand, it doesn't slip. The knife itself is well-balanced, and despite its large size, it's not that heavy, so working with it is quite easy. The blade is long and has a good width on top. The sharpening from the store is good; it held its sharpness for quite a while. The only problem turned out to be that I keep my knives in a drawer in a special tray... it doesn't fit in there(( It fits in the drawer itself, and that's good enough. It performed well for slicing, cutting meat, and bread. So, for the most part, I am satisfied with the knife. Next time, when the mood isn't looking, I'll buy a knife made of Damascus steel... I need to keep my depression in check somehow. A good long knife that has a decent balance and feels good in the hand. Quite light for its size, sometimes there's a suspicion that it's hollow inside. It needs to be checked and thrown into a sink full of water... It seems that there are no blatant flaws for such a price. |

The length of 20 centimeters is sufficient for most kitchen tasks — vegetables, meat, slicing thinly or quickly dicing something. The blade maintains its sharpness quite well, and after a few weeks of active use, just a light sharpening is needed. For its price, it's a very nice option, especially if you want a simple, sturdy knife without unnecessary frills that really handles daily work. Of course, it's not Samura (Someday, I will definitely buy myself one of these legendary knives from the not-so-cheap series) nor handcrafted artisan knives (I'd also like one from a true master), but for its very affordable price, it's an excellent knife.
