LG SJ3

The equipment of the South Korean brand LG is popular in many countries of the world. It is chosen for performance, long service life and reasonable cost. Powerful yet compact, the SJ3 soundbar is a great addition to your 40" to 50" LCD panel or smart TV.

The system, first of all, will appeal to lovers of minimalism. The soundbar is incredibly thin, only 5 cm deep and 7 cm high. Does not load visually and the subwoofer. At the same time, despite the compact dimensions of 171x320x252 mm, it boldly gives out up to 200 W, which is more than enough for a room of 20 – 25 m.

Add here 6 more speakers in the projector with a total power of 100 W, DTS, Dolby Digital audio decoders, LG's proprietary ASC and Auto Sound Engine adaptive sound control technologies and we get the effect of full presence, clean, dense and rich, and most importantly, “live” sound even at high volumes .

Connection and settings

The system is connected via Bluetooth, which means you don’t have to rack your brains where to hide the ubiquitous wires. Although connection is also possible through them: an optical, 3.5 mm audio input, and even USB A are provided.

Control is implemented using a full-fledged remote control, which has as many as 17 buttons, but if the remote control fails, there are physical buttons on the soundbar, and you can also use the TV remote control. Moreover, remote controls from almost all well-known brands are suitable: Sony, Philips, Sharp, Panasonic, Vizio, Toshiba and Samsung.

The disadvantage with such an abundance of possibilities is a completely uninformative indicative display that shows only the selected connection mode. But this, perhaps, is all with shortcomings.

Otherwise, the LG SJ3 fully justifies its price ($250). It's powerful yet compact, easy to handle and sounds good.
