How to Choose a Gaming ControllerChoosing a gamepad is not just a purchase, but an investment in comfort and enjoyment of games.
Features of this model:

Force Feedback Joystick

To enhance realism, the Flight System G940 joystick is equipped with a premium Logitech force feedback system that lets you confidently control a plane or helicopter, feeling how it responds to air, turbulence, and gravity. Unlike vibrating feedback and similar technologies, the force feedback used here offers exceptional precision and tangibility; the pilot fully perceives the forces at play in the game.

The Flight System G940 joystick is equipped with a two-stage metal trigger, six programmable buttons, a mini joystick, an 8-way HAT switch, and three analog trim controls; it is designed to provide the pilot with complete control over the aircraft. For comfortable long flights, the joystick features a wide, solid base, a soft coating, and a hand rest; the joystick handle is slightly tilted forward.

Programmable Dual Throttle Control Handle

For realistic control, the Flight System G940 controller features a dual throttle control handle, simplifying piloting of multi-engine aircraft. If there is only one engine, a special button allows synchronizing levers, making them more convenient to use.

Interactive programmable keys support the most popular simulators and light up red, green, or yellow (or turn off), indicating the status of critical systems — just like in a real cockpit. For added convenience, Logitech includes 80 interchangeable labels with the controller, allowing a realistic switch panel to be created — for example, with a GPS navigator, autopilot, and landing gear control keys.

In addition to eight programmable keys, the Flight System G940 controller also features two 8-way HAT switches, four programmable buttons located on the joystick handle, and two rotary analog regulators. The included Logitech Gaming Software makes it possible to configure almost any function on the G940 in just a few steps.

Real Pedals

The four-bar pedals, modeled after modern fighters, have an open construction and are equipped with rudder and foot brake controls. This makes control as realistic as possible, especially when performing defense maneuvers, landing against the wind, or managing a helicopter. The pedal resistance adjustment allows tailoring them to a specific piloting style. For increased comfort, the pedal base is equipped with non-slip pads and a footrest, allowing the pedals to stay in place even during complex maneuvers.

From the press release:

Logitech has introduced the Logitech Flight System G940 controller for flight simulators — the latest addition to the Logitech G-series gaming peripherals.

This is the company's first controller designed for flight simulators and equipped with a force feedback system. The design and construction of the Flight System G940's control mechanism mimic those used in military and civilian aviation.

For full immersion, the three-component Logitech Flight System G940 includes a force feedback joystick, dual throttle control levers, and rudder pedals. The number of programmable button configurations integrated into the fully functional HOTAS (Hands On Throttle-and-Stick) construction exceeds 250; the pilot can access critical aircraft systems without taking their eyes off the controls.

All components feature reinforced mounting hardware, simplifying their attachment to surfaces. The Flight System G940 system supports most popular PC flight simulators, including Microsoft Flight Simulator X, IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946, and Lock On: Modern Air Combat X-Plane 9.
