I bought this enclosure specifically to use with an HDD. Speed wasn't a significant factor for me at the time. USB version 3.0 is more than sufficient for working with hard drives. Since the enclosure is equipped with only one connector for connecting HDD/SSD (without the ability to create RAID), the connection speed should be adequate in most cases. The package includes a power supply unit (rated at 12 Volts, 2 Amps, maximum of 24 Watts); a data connection cable (USB Type-B to USB Type-A), up to 40 cm long. Connecting a full-sized 3.5-inch HDD to the enclosure is somewhat complicated. The length of the enclosure is reduced to minimize the hard drive's movement. If connecting a 2.5-inch HDD/SSD, there will be too much space left inside the enclosure, which needs to be addressed. This is important, especially when transporting the enclosure with the connected storage device, to avoid damaging the connector. The package is sufficient to start using the case with an SSD/HDD right out of the box. The ability to connect both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives (but note that this only applies to models with a SATA interface). Transfer speed of large files (starting from 50 Megabytes) - up to 75 Megabytes per second. A light indicator on the case shows drive connection/activity. In this model - the maximum read/copy speed - is limited by the USB 3.0 connection port speed. For high-level SATA SSD, this may not be sufficient.  Oleksandr: use Maiwo K3568 more than year |
