The maximum diameter of the cutter is limited by the size of the hole (⌀35 mm) in the support sole. The working depth (up to 42 mm) is adjusted using a gear mechanism. The tool has a "soft start" function, which eliminates the possibility of a jerk when the motor is turned on.

A special feature of the Makita 3712 router is a transparent support plate that can be tilted at the required angle (from 0 ° to 45 °). Such an adjustable sole allows you to perform specific operations related to edge processing or cutting grooves in workpieces made of wood or soft plastic.
