A mobile rechargeable speaker system that can provide really high-quality sound of any musical genre (including such traditionally difficult for portable speakers as rock and jazz). It has relatively compact dimensions 180x161x70 and a moderate weight of 1380 kg. Uses Bluetooth connectivity and proprietary Blumlein Stereo Sound technology for multi-directional sound. The chassis of the Marshall Stockwell II mobile speaker system is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic coated with wear-resistant and tactilely pleasing black silicone with a rough texture.
The manufacturer guarantees an initial level of protection against splashing water according to the IPX4 standard, which allows you to use the column in open areas and not be afraid of light rain or drizzle. All controls are located on the top panel, slightly recessed into the body. The central place is given to three cone-shaped knobs that adjust the sound volume and bass/treble levels.
The built-in lithium-ion battery provides up to 20 hours of battery life and supports convenient fast charging technology (20 minutes of connecting the speaker to the charger gives 6 hours of battery life). Two high-frequency dynamic radiators and one powerful woofer are responsible for a bright sound with a pronounced bass tinge. The total power reaches 20 W, which allows you to sound rooms up to 25 m² or organize a small open-air party.

Rock'n'roll!
Over the past 60 years, Marshall acoustics, amplifiers and combos have literally intermarried with rock music, becoming one of its synonyms. The company decided to play on the feeling of nostalgia and began to design all their home acoustics in the form of well-known guitar amplifiers. Here comes the upgraded Stockwell portable stereo speaker, harping on the same line of nostalgia for the golden age of rock music.
Brand design and convenience
However in the second version of Stockwell, the form has changed dramatically. If earlier it was a book-like speaker with a case, now it is a square shoulder speaker with an additional velvet carrying handle. The design has also changed, instead of dense plastic with a texture similar to rough skin, Stockwell of the second generation has softer and more neutral soft-touch plastic. But the famous Marshall logo has not gone anywhere — it still flaunts in the most prominent place in the centre of the front grille. On the top end, you can find the same control panel with large volume, treble and bass controls, as well as a Bluetooth pairing button (fifth version). But the large toggle switch, which many liked for its aesthetics, the designers decided to remove. In general, Stockwell still looks great, but due to the changed shape and carrying handles, it is more convenient to use. And you can safely carry it in the rain, the case has protection according to the IPX4 standard and is not afraid of splashes and dust.
Up to 20 hours of music in excellent quality
The sound is excellent, as you'd expect from a $250 speaker. And even more: the sound here is really expensive, rich and pumped, you definitely don’t expect this from such a miniature baby. The bass has a clear drawing and excellent audibility, the upper ones sound clear and accentuated, well, and the detailed mids are the hallmark of this speaker. Despite the small size, Stockwell draws a wide panorama and all instruments are clearly distinguishable. And screams so that be healthy. Although, there is only 20 watts of power. However, at volumes above 80%, the mids dominate the lows and highs, which can result in sounds like the snare drum sounding unnecessarily harsh. With battery life, Marshall, as always, is in full order, in this case, you can count on 20 hours of operation at a volume of 100%. Plus, there is fast charging, in 20 minutes at the outlet you can get another 6 hours of music.
