How to Choose a Frying PanLet’s figure out how to choose a frying pan based on your budget, frequency of use, types of dishes, and operating conditions
wonderful model, really honored

I don't use my cast iron skillet often, mainly just for burger patties. And it's interesting: at first glance, it's just a regular skillet, meat, seasoning, temperature... but the flavor turns out completely different than on a regular non-stick pan. It has that distinct "burger" taste and a proper crust, not just cooked meat.

Cast iron holds heat well, it doesn't drop when you put a cold patty on, and because of this, the meat seals quickly. Inside it's juicy, outside it's browned with a characteristic texture. For burgers, it's just what you need.

But there's a nuance you should know beforehand. There will be a lot of smoke. Really a lot. Without a proper exhaust fan and open window, it's hard to cook — the apartment quickly fills with smell and smoke, especially if you heat the skillet thoroughly, otherwise, there's little point in using cast iron.

In everyday use, it's not a universal item, but as a tool for specific tasks, it works perfectly. I rarely take it out, but when I do, the result is always satisfying.
