I've had this flash for more than 5 years now. It's simple, effective, and very easy to set up. Basically, that's the shortest possible description. I use it with a D7100. The flash recovers quickly after firing. The focus assist light is weak, but it’s there. The body is sturdy and well-built; it hasn't fallen apart over time. Yes, there are scuffs, but overall, it's all good. The head is flexible and holds the set angle well. It has a little screen and focus adjustment. It gets slightly warm during intensive use, but that’s normal, especially since I often shoot at 1/4-1/16 power. There’s a built-in diffuser, but I don’t use it because it’s not very effective—I attach a piece of white paper with an elastic band instead. It runs on 4 AA batteries, which last a long time, but I use Eneloops. Fast recharge. Very reliable and affordable flash. Features a zoom. Efficient power usage (never fully drained the battery, always lasted long enough). Gets a little warm. Weak backlight. |
