Model overview based on user reviews
The Microlab M-880 is a 2.1 speaker system that offers a decent balance of price and performance for the average user. Many users appreciate its excellent bass and design, making it a suitable choice for casual listening, especially at low volumes. However, several reviews highlight significant drawbacks, such as the absence of tweeters, leading to compressed high frequencies and sound distortion at higher volumes. Some users also noted that the sound can be flat and plastic, with a lack of lower midrange. The system's power output has been questioned, with some suggesting it doesn't meet the advertised specifications. While the speakers have a wooden body, the single-way design and plastic membranes have been criticized. Overall, while the M-880 might satisfy non-demanding users, those seeking higher sound fidelity might want to consider alternatives.

It's hard to find competitors for this system in terms of power-quality-price ratio, but perhaps it's possible. I don't know, I've been using it for a couple of months, and even though I didn't spend a lot of money, I'm still pleased that the purchase didn't disappoint. I recommend future owners, when testing the system in stores, to make the salespeople use computers to send signals to the test samples, rather than MP-3 players, and especially not mobile phones - in such cases, all systems sound almost identical. And when installing the M880 at home, carefully choose a location for the subwoofer. It is clear that a person seriously interested in sound would never buy such acoustics, but for the simplest layperson, it will be an excellent choice. Before buying MICROLAB M880, I spent the whole evening reading various information about PC acoustics, mainly from this manufacturer. I went to the store for a completely different model, the FC530, but the M880 sounded better during the listening session. Additionally, its design fits better with the interior of my home office. For me, I repeat, specifically for me, it sounds quite good. I did have to experiment a bit with the placement of the subwoofer, but it all worked out. I mostly listen to internet radio, quiet music, and at a low volume, and the sound is solidly rich. Not a specialist, didn't notice until now. |
In my opinion, an excellent system, excellent bass, the walls are shaking! At the maximum volume level, the sound begins to distort. |
value for money THERE ARE NO HIGH FREQUENCIES DUE TO THE ABSENCE OF TWEETERS AND WHEN ADDING BASS FROM ABOUT 30% AND ABOVE I EXPERIENCE A DROP IN SOUND AND DISTORTIONS. |
