To begin with, the Gold 300 is a three-way speaker with 4 speakers. These are: an MPD (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) tweeter based on a Hale transducer, a 64mm midrange driver and a pair of 203mm RDT II bass drivers borrowed from the flagship Monitor Audio Platinum II line. The tweeter membrane and speaker cones are made of C-CAM material: an aluminium-magnesium alloy with a ceramic coating. The rear panel of the Gold 300 features two HiVe II ports, providing smooth airflow and sufficient bass boost. There is also a block of four gold-plated screw terminals for two-wire connection.

The system is ideally matched to a 100 — 250 W amplifier and is designed for large rooms. The sound is transparent, open, dynamic and powerful with excellent detail, the right tonal balance, fast deep bass and a big stage.

Premium appearance

Sound stability and homogeneity is also achieved by a sturdy, damped 20mm thick MDF cabinet and two die-cast metal stands resting on spikes or rubber feet. The curved profile of the sidewalls of the cabinet enhances rigidity and effectively combats diffraction and standing waves.

The system impresses not only with its sound, but also with its appearance. Elegant piano lacquer and natural veneer finishes turn the speakers into a stylish piece of premium furniture and guarantee a harmonious combination in any interior.
