Model overview based on user reviews
The Yamaha A-S501 amplifier is praised for its pure and indecently sterile sound, making it a great choice for audiophiles who appreciate high-quality audio. It features an optical input, which is a rarity in its price range, and offers a power reserve that effectively handles 8 Ohm speakers. Users appreciate the built-in DAC and the ability to adjust treble and bass. However, some find its functionality limited, describing it as "Stone Age" in terms of features, and note the absence of built-in Bluetooth. The amplifier is best suited for uncompressed music formats, as compressed music may not sound as good. While some users feel it lacks realism in sound, others find it qualitative and a solid choice for entry-level systems, especially after a period of use. Overall, the Yamaha A-S501 is recommended for those prioritizing sound quality over modern features.

The choice was between a network receiver and a pure amplifier - I decided not to lose sound quality in exchange for functionality, which I could purchase at any time. 1. Pure, indecently sterile sound. 2. Optical input - something competitors in this price range don't have. 3. Power reserve - handles speakers with 8 Ohm impedance. 4. There is Treble and Bass adjustment. No built-in Bluetooth, it's a costly option. use Yamaha A-S501 week i recommend it should buy |
Advice for mp3 lovers. Guys, this amp is not for you. Compressed music will not sound on a Yamaha and you will write all sorts of nasty things. Uncompressed formats and equipment of the appropriate class in conjunction with this amplifier will give you real pleasure. It took a month to warm up the device. At first I thought that I had bought bullshit, but then things took off and after a year of work I can boldly say: the device is excellent. The sound quality with an external sound card, good cables and appropriate speakers is simply amazing. Didn't find it. use Yamaha A-S501 month or more i recommend it should buy |
The sound is not realistic! You can feel a dry digitization of the signal. In terms of features, it's the Stone Age, which cannot be said about the price. Pure digital sound Functionally Stone Age use Yamaha A-S501 week |
