The LED TV represents the Philips 4100 series low-cost line. The model is deprived of the ability to connect to the Internet and does not support "smart" functions, which makes it belong to the entry-level TV class and affordable price.
The TV is made in black colour, it has a rather light weight (4.8 kg). Around the screen is a glossy frame. Thin legs spaced a short distance from each other act as a panel stand.
Quality picture and sound
Philips 32PHT4132 received a 32-inch screen with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels, LED backlight and good viewing angles (178°). Digital Crystal Clear technology is responsible for realistic colour reproduction, which automatically adjusts the optimal level of brightness and contrast of any image displayed on the display.
According to users, the picture looks natural and of high quality, especially when watching TV channels (a digital terrestrial and cable tuner is built-in). But when playing high-quality third-party content, a loss in the level of detail is noticeable (the lack of Full HD support makes itself felt). If this does not suit you, then pay attention to the closest "relative" of the model — Philips 32PFT4132.
A pair of rather powerful built-in speakers (8 W each) with sound enhancement technologies (surround effect, Clear Sound) is responsible for loud and high-quality sound without the use of additional audio systems.
Demanded interfaces
Philips 32PHT4132 is equipped with a pair of HDMI with EasyLink support (the protocol allows you to control all connected devices with a remote control) and a USB port for playing content, for example, from a flash drive and/or recording TV shows. Support for most popular video formats (AVI, MKV, MPEG), including those with subtitles, as well as music and images is provided.
There is also a mini-Jack connector (3.5 mm) for connecting acoustics or headphones.
The disadvantages of the TV include the inconvenient location of the HDMI ports on the back of the case. They do not look to the side, but “straight into the wall”, which makes them difficult to use, especially when wall-mounting a panel with a VESA 100x100 mount.
Otherwise, the TV does its job well and can be considered the best choice for a country house or, for example, in the house of elderly parents.
