The drink brewed in this model is an authentic Americano coffee, because it is this principle of preparation that is most widely used in South and North America. The brewing process in the Philips HD 7546 coffee maker takes place at atmospheric pressure and a temperature close to 90 °C.

Hot, almost boiling water in the form of droplets is filtered through a layer of ground coffee, which is loaded into a disposable paper filter (type 1x4 or #4, sold separately). The degree of saturation of the taste and the tonic ability of coffee depends on the type of beans and the fineness of the grind. You can adjust the intensity of the taste by changing the amount of ground coffee loaded into the filter.

The power of the heating element is 1000 W, and the volume of the water tank is 1.2 liters, which is enough to prepare from 8 large to 15 small portions of coffee. A special nozzle inside the jug (Aroma Twister) mixes the incoming coffee, ensuring the optimal strength of the drink from the first to the last cup. The thermos jug keeps the temperature of the drink for a long time.
