Compatible with standard L'OR Espresso single shot capsules, L'OR Barista double shot capsules and Nespresso capsules. The Dual Capsule Recognition system automatically recognizes the size of the capsule and selects the desired settings.

The Philips capsule coffee machine represents the mid-price segment and stands out for its stylish design and relatively small dimensions of the body in width (less than 20 cm). In addition to the black version, related variations in blue and beige (ivory) are available for sale. The characteristic features of the device include versatility: compatibility with both two types of L'OR capsules is declared - Espresso single shot or Barista double shot, as well as the Nespresso system.

Therefore, the Philips L'Or Barista LM9012/60 coffee machine is able to offer users a truly rich assortment of drinks and room for experimentation. The coffee making process is maximally automated - the Dual Capsule Recognition system recognizes the size of the capsule and sets the optimal settings for the 19-horsepower pump and 1450-watt heating element. You can also independently adjust the volume of the portion at the outlet in the range from 25 ml (for a rich espresso or ristretto) to 270 ml (a la Americano or similar to filter coffee).

And with the help of large "consumables" you can prepare two cups at a time or make a double espresso, lungo, etc. It should be noted that the model is declared to have a fairly fast work process - the brewing period for two cups should not exceed 1 minute. Other features include a 0.8 liter water tank, easy maintenance, and the presence of 9 capsules in the delivery set "for testing".

Great device for lazy people
28 July 2026
This is a very good device for those who can’t be bothered with making coffee and want espresso at home rather than, for example, coffee from a cezve (which is completely different). The only thing you can really complain about is the price per capsule, so if you plan to drink more than 2–3 cups a day, it’s worth thinking about, because at the moment, even on sale, a pack of 10 capsules costs €3.50. Do the math yourself and decide whether it’s worth it for you.

Otherwise, making coffee is very simple because the coffee machine has three buttons, that’s it: ristretto, espresso, lungo (25 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml). You can also hold the button for 4 seconds and the portion will be twice as large, just with more water. Maintenance is also very simple: take out the tray, throw away the used capsules, and drain the water that has dripped from them, that’s all. Sometimes the coffee machine will ask for a full cleaning (it has a capsule counter); I don’t know how often yet, but I’ve already ordered some cleaning product. Another huge advantage is that you can drink different coffee every time, and there are lots of flavours. For example, something stronger in the morning, and in the evening brew one with a nut or chocolate flavour, add cream, and it’s very tasty. The coffee in the capsules is real ground coffee; I specifically opened one and checked because I suspected it might be instant. Capsules from other coffee machine brands fit too, not just L’OR ones. It looks very nice in the interior, doesn’t take up much space, and, by the way, costs very little for such a great coffee machine. I’m very happy with it and would recommend it if you want something like this.
Minimal movement and effort, fits nicely into the interior, delicious coffee, price

You can buy it. It's worth the price.

We bought it on sale with a set of capsules. Didn't talk much about it. It supports two sizes of capsules. Large ones are rare in Ukraine, but you can find them. Fast coffee preparation. Easy to maintain (everything is written in the instructions). Takes up little space. In the morning, when time is short - it's perfect. Also, it looks really nice.)))
The capsules are a bit expensive. We plan to buy a reusable XXL capsule.

Compatibility with Different Capsules

The name of the Philips coffee machine indicates that it is designed to work with L'OR capsules (9 "expendables" included in the package). The device supports the Dual Capsule Recognition system, which allows the use of two different sizes — standard (single shot) and enlarged (double shot). With the latter, you can make either two cups of black coffee or one strong (double) portion.

Additionally, Philips L'Or Barista LM9012/60 is compatible with the popular Nespresso system, which is considered the highest quality (although the capsules are slightly more expensive), while L'OR offers a variety of flavors and richness, and they are more affordable. This gives users the opportunity to choose optimal drinks suitable both for preferences and budget.

Programmable Settings

The coffee machine is equipped with a 19-bar pump, a 1450-watt heating element, and an 800 ml tank. The device's body has three buttons that allow you to choose one of three drink volume options — ristretto (25 ml), espresso (40 ml), and lungo (110 ml). When using L'OR double shot capsules, these values double by default. You can also program other volumes for these buttons from 20 to 135 ml for a regular portion and from 40 to 270 ml for a double portion.

Other features include a removable tray, which simplifies cleaning and allows for taller cups under the spout. The downside of the Philips L'Or Barista LM9012/60 is the lack of capsules with coffee-milk drinks: to make a cappuccino, you will need to do it manually.

Philips L'Or Barista LM9012/60 is an interesting capsule coffee machine that can be recommended to black coffee lovers.
