Styler with a razor

The Philips all-in-one appliance combines a beard styler and a foil shaver. If there is a shaving unit in the lower part of the body, then in the upper part there is a metal trimmer for styling the beard.

The close shave head features two floating foils. Between them is an intermediate trimmer that shaves coarse and long hairs. Since the device has basic protection against water, it is permissible to use the Philips QS6141 foil shaver for both dry and wet shaving, and rinse the cutting elements for cleaning.

The feature of the beard trimmer is two cutting edges with different grip widths: the main one is 32 mm, and the additional one is 15 mm. The latter is especially convenient for modeling the shape of the bristles in hard-to-reach areas of the face, for example, under the nose or near the mouth.

The Philips QS6141 comes with one beard trimming head that sits on top of the trimmer. Due to a special adjusting wheel that acts as a regulator, one of the 12 available length settings is set for the comb in the range from 1 to 10 mm. Up to 3 mm, a step of 0.5 mm is offered, and then a step of 1 mm. According to the reviews of some owners, it can be concluded that the nozzle does not cope well with very hard and at the same time long (over 5 – 7 mm) bristles. In such cases, to equalize the length of the beard, multiple penetrations in one place are needed.

Sufficient margin of battery life

From the built-in lithium-ion battery, the device will work up to 75 minutes. The fact that there are 10 minutes left before discharging will be warned by a flashing indicator on the case. It takes about 4 hours to replenish the battery capacity from 0 to 100%. A folding stand acts as a charger.
