Simplicity is not a vice

The Fiolent PM4-700E electric jigsaw is slightly clumsy in appearance, and this can scare away the buyer. Yes, beauty and grace are not about the products of the Fiolent factory. It is famous for something completely different: strength and reliability. Due to the "Soviet" approach to tool development, the jigsaw is somewhat "old-fashioned" in design. All its parts are massive and strong, and the mechanical part is very simple, but durable. Therefore, Fiolent jigsaws, including this model, have a reputation for being “indestructible”. Breaking them is quite difficult, and burning them is almost impossible.

Nothing extra

The tool is equipped with a motor with a rated power of 701 W and makes idling up to 2800 reciprocating movements per minute. Such characteristics are quite enough for confident work with various types of lumber. The jigsaw cuts deeply (takes wood up to 110 mm thick) and cuts it equally briskly in any direction: even along the fibers, even across. In this he is helped by a pendulum mechanism with three stages of adjustment. There are no other "chips" (except for the sawdust blowing system, which, by the way, is far from brilliant) for this tool.

But the simple design of the jigsaw has several drawbacks. For example, during operation, the user may find it difficult to set the position of the file perpendicular to the surface, or to accurately fix the angle of the sole. Due to such features, the Fiolent jigsaw does not give a very accurate cut and has a tendency to “retract” the saw blade.

Reliable and inexpensive jigsaw

"Fiolent" PM4-700E is not very suitable for high-precision sawing. Therefore, furniture makers, for example, are unlikely to be satisfied with it. But as a tool for rough cutting boards, plywood and chipboard, he has no equal. Reliability, performance, unpretentiousness, durability and low price make it an perfect jigsaw for the construction site. No wonder this electric jigsaw is considered one of the best models in its price category. By the way, it has been produced almost unchanged for more than 15 years. Therefore, about this tool, like about no other, we can say that its quality has been tested by time.
