A sleeping bag is a very personal matter, I would even say intimate. Its correct choice determines not only a good night's sleep but sometimes also the user's health. Hypothermia during sleep is a tricky thing, and in the case of general fatigue, it can go unnoticed, easily leading to a severe pneumonia. I needed a sleeping bag that would allow me to feel comfortable in conditions of zero temperature and high humidity. A "minus" down to five degrees was also possible, and I needed to be prepared for that as well. Having some experience, I decided to immediately choose a winter model. In fact, I would call it "mild winter," but it fully met the requirements for my needs. Field tests have shown that you feel best in it at a temperature of +5 to -5. In any case, comfort depends on humidity and air movement, so the minimum positive temperature with high humidity seems less comfortable than -4 with dry air. But this sleeping bag has a top layer with a water-repellent treatment. This fabric is made of durable polyester fibers and has a special multi-caliber weave called RipStop. Due to this, it, like any woven material, is easy to pierce, but extremely difficult to tear. Under it are two layers of high-quality modern fibrous insulation with a total density of 400 grams per square meter. The inner lining is also synthetic, but soft and pleasant to the body. The zipper is double-sided, of good quality, with protection against tissue ingress. Comes with a compression bag. Heavy, all the same, two kilograms are felt on yourself. The material of the outer layer, the same tear-resistant polyester, gets very dirty, and on the red color all the dirt is clearly visible. You have to wash the sleeping bag manually and this is a long and tedious task. |
