Realme 5 64 GB / 3 GB (RMX1927)
Photos 11 | Outdated Product £129.00 A fashionista from the mid-low-cost smartphone cavalry of 2019, who knows how to draw attention to his indiscreet person. At first glance, the gradient overflow of the back of the device, coupled with a quad camera on the rear panel, attracts the eye. It combines a 12MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP portrait blur lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The selfie sensor on board the Realme 5 64GB was inscribed in a neat “cape” on the front panel. Almost all the rest of the “facade” space of the smartphone is occupied by a 6.5-inch elongated IPS screen with an atypical 20:9 aspect ratio. The picture is broadcast on it in a maximum resolution of 1600x720 pixels. Also, the device has acquired a strong hardware base (Snapdragon 665 chipset Together with Adreno 610 graphics and 4 GB of...RAM), an NFC chip (in global versions of the model), a solid 5000 mAh battery. On a single charge, this smartphone is able to stay afloat for a month, lying idle on a shelf. In talk mode, the battery will lose ground after about two days. |

Who's new?
In 2019, a whole scattering of smartphones from Chinese brands of the new wave was brought to the east european market, among which the newcomer Realme was the most noticeable. His latest model Realme 5 did not replace the interesting budgetary Realme 3.
Forget about charging
Powerful batteries have become a distinctive feature of inexpensive models of the company. If last year manufacturers came up with an optimal figure of 4000 mAh, then Realme immediately offers a 5000 mAh battery. As a result, the phone lives quietly for about a day in non-stop mode, and sometimes remains the next day. At the same time, the smartphone does not support fast charging, so it takes about 5 hours to fully feed this “monster”, against the usual two. We have to charge it at night, as in the days of Brezhnev.
quad camera
The second feature of the model is the rear camera with four modules. The resolution of the main sensor is 12 MP, and the company is 8 MP wide-angle, 2 MP macro module and 2 MP portrait module. The quality of the pictures from the main camera pleased: the gadget, even in automatic mode, successfully coped with daytime shooting. All photos are sharp, with good detail and adequate colour reproduction — you don’t even need to turn on the “saturated colours” function in the settings. In the dark, the device performed worse: there is a large amount of noise. Partly saves the night mode, which stretches the picture and makes it brighter.
NFC, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5
Among other nice features, it is important to note the presence of an NFC module, modern Wi-Fi and Bluetooth receivers and a rather nimble filling by the standards of this class (Snapdragon 665 + Adreno 610 + 3 GB of RAM + 64 GB of memory), which scores 142878 points in the AnTuTu test and handles well with toys of the fresh Call of Duty caliber. But it's hard to say something unambiguous about the screen: the 6.5-inch IPS-matrix demonstrates good viewing angles, an adequate supply of brightness and good colour reproduction, without a bias towards acid shades like many inexpensive displays. The temperature regime gravitates towards cold shades, but this can be corrected in the display settings. At the same time, the screen resolution is only 1600x720 pixels, but the pixels are not too striking, and watching TV shows and scrolling through the news feed on such a screen is surprisingly comfortable.
