The body of this splitter has some design. This is important to me as I need it for use on the desk. However, what's been done to enhance its appearance is insufficient. It doesn't quite reach how I imagined it could look. Its surface is matte, with tiny dimples. However, it seemed like there should be some glossy inclusion, a stripe along the side surface, for example, or something else. The rounding of the upper surface at the edge could be more pronounced, or maybe it could even be a bevel, something more noticeable. Still, it's good that at least there's no traditional seam on the side. It's assembled in such a way that even the bottom surface is without any gaps or crevices. The only indication of it being on is a blue LED in the middle of the USB ports, which is a bit odd. By the way, for better design, the USB ports could have been made in a block of semi-transparent plastic so that the light would spread through it when turned on. That way, there would be a glow around all the USB ports. The cable is not too stiff, but not quite soft enough either. For comparison, the cable in the Real-El RS - 6 Extra model is softer and more convenient. Still, this one can be directed where needed. Wall mounting is not provided. The manufacturer's warranty indicated on the box is 6 months. There are as many as 4 USB ports, two of which are 2.4A. Checked the latter USB ports with a tester: they hold ~2A at >5V. Well-assembled. Does not buzz or ring while operating. Feels sturdy, nothing is loose. The button presses nicely, confidently. Plugs insert with comfortable effort, just right - not too tight, not too easy. The box is in super-duper premium packaging. It's a shame that the casing of the splitter itself doesn't quite match the beauty of the packaging. No curtains. Plugs for USB ports, even removable silicone ones, would also be nice.
