New for 2023 from Reolink is a mid-budget LAN camera for outdoor surveillance, equipped with PoE 802.3at technology. This allows you to use a single Ethernet cable for both power and data, simplifying installation and reducing dependency on electrical outlets.

High image clarity

The RLC-81PA model from Reolink is equipped with an 8-megapixel matrix, which allows you to record video in 4K resolution (3840x2160 pixels) at a speed of 25 frames per second. The 4mm focal length lens limits the viewing angle to 88°, but the 180-degree PTZ function allows for wider viewing, including panning and tracking.

Advanced Smart Features

The camera not only captures movement in the frame, but is also able to identify people, cars or animals. It supports setting activity zones, two-way audio communication, two types of active protection (lighting and siren), as well as three types of night lighting for different lighting conditions. The model is also compatible with the Google Home and Amazon Alexa ecosystems, which allows you to control it with voice commands.

Please note that, despite excellent protection from moisture (IP67), the camera has limited frost resistance (down to -10 °C). Also, users sometimes complain about crashes in the Reolink application on iOS.
