Roccat Torch (ROC-14-912)

A condenser microphone designed for use with personal computers for streaming, voice recording, and in-game communication. The model offers flexible sound capture thanks to three pickup patterns: cardioid, bidirectional, and stereo. The cardioid mode focuses on the sound source directly in front of the mic, cutting out extraneous noise, which suits solo streams. The stereo mode, in turn, delivers immersive sound by capturing left and right channels, which is useful for ASMR recordings or broadcasts where conveying the acoustic atmosphere matters.

Of special note is the proprietary Whisper mode, which increases sensitivity to clearly pick up a quiet voice at night. All primary controls are placed on the desktop stand that serves as the base. It houses knobs to change the pickup pattern, adjust sensitivity, and the volume of headphone output, which you can connect directly to the mic for zero-latency monitoring.

The Roccat Torch microphone records audio at 24-bit/48 kHz, which is sufficient for high-quality voice transmission. Connection to a computer is via USB, and the package includes two cables (USB-C to USB-A and USB-C to USB-C): a long one for desktop use and a short one for connecting to modern laptops or other devices. The look is complemented by customizable RGB lighting that indicates the current operating mode.
