— the operation of devices of this type is based on a change in the capacitance of a capacitor, in which one of the plates is simultaneously a microphone membrane — its vibrations provide a change in capacitance. The main advantage of this technology is the high quality of sound transmission, due to which condenser microphones are very popular in professional applications — in particular, in recording studios. Among their shortcomings can be called high cost and general "delicacy" — sensitivity to shock and to unfavorable indicators of temperature and humidity. In addition, these types of models require phantom power, which limits their compatibility with amplifiers (although separate power options are available).
