Buying a separate hand tool is justified if you know exactly what to buy, from which manufacturer and you can evaluate the adequacy of the price. But I didn’t have such clarity, I just needed a set of tools for the maintenance and repair of two home cars. In the old days, I would not bother and solve all the problems at the service station, but now I have to save money and do a lot with my own hands. The set is large and detailed. There are two ratchets with a ratcheting mechanism and built-in reverse. For the half-inch size one, there are 17 socket wrenches ranging from 10 to 32 mm and 5 long ones from 14 to 22 mm. The largest I've used with it was size 24. It handled it confidently, the mechanism is a bit tight, but overall it's fine. For it, there are also two extensions at 125 and 250 mm, a set of Torx sockets sizes E10-E24, an adapter from 1/2" to 3/8", and a universal joint for unconventional situations. The quarter-inch ratchet also has an impressive arsenal but with smaller diameters: 13 simple socket wrenches from 4 to 14 mm, 8 long ones from 6 to 13 mm, separate extensions at 50 and 75 mm, 5 Torx sockets, a universal joint, a handle, and some other small items. In addition to all this, there is a bit holder and an impressive set of 35 bits of all common standards (Sl, PH, PZ, Torx, Hex). The steel from which the tool is made is carbon and hardened. Regarding the chrome and vanadium promised by the manufacturer, I can't say, but it is hard enough. The price is good. It's not the cheapest set, but one of the most affordable among the more or less quality ones. The plastic suitcase let me down. Firstly, the belongings, as it were, fixed in it, periodically fall out of it)) And secondly, the smell of plastic is such that it is better not to bring it into living quarters. |
