A hybrid FullHD DVR and radar detector of the South Korean breed SilverStone F1 Hybrid S-Bot appeared on the shelves of east european car dealerships in 2019 and immediately took a leading position in the sales ratings of combo devices.
Longitudinal form factor
Like most colleagues in the combo shop for video recording of traffic conditions, the model is sharpened into a longitudinal-shaped body with an extension closer to the “sirloin” part. The device “looks” at the road situation through the “eye” of the lens with a field of view angle of 135 °. The picture through it is fed to the advanced Sony Exmor IMX323 matrix and processed by the AIT 8328P dual-core video chip. At the output, the DVR produces a clean FullHD image with a clear drawing of car license plates, regardless of the time of day. The maximum volume of a microSD flash drive, with which the SilverStone F1 Hybrid S-Bot is able to “make friends”, rests on the “ceiling” of 64 GB.
Signature technology
The radar module of the device uses a signature technology for recognizing police speedometers, which significantly reduces the likelihood of false positives. The Anti-Cas system is an additional link on guard for filtering K-band signals, thanks to which the radar detector does not respond to automatic sliding door opening sensors, barriers and radio towers, which are ubiquitous in the urban rhythm of movement. Moreover, a base with coordinate marks of stationary non-radiating cameras has been added to the memory of the device, to be updated through the website of the manufacturer of the combo device. The hybrid will come to the rescue both in the event of disputable situations on the road, and will save the low-cost on paying fines for speeding.
