The Swedish brand was founded in 1934 and since then has been a confident leader in the world in sales of mechanized garden equipment of its own production. The ST 4262 PB snow blower is a reliable unit for owners of private houses who often face the problem of snow drifts.
minus 30 for nothing
The heart of the snow blower is a 6.3 hp Briggs and Stratton 950 4-stroke engine, specially designed for operation in winter conditions down to -29 ºС. It has a fuel tank capacity of 3 liters, crankcase — 0.6 liters. With an average intensity of work, one refueling is enough for 1 – 1.5 hours. Whether this is a lot or a little depends on the area of the harvested area. In addition to manual, the engine also has an electric start function using a key.
All the snowdrifts on the shoulder
The device is equipped with an 8-speed gearbox with 6 forward and two reverse gears that can be switched on the go. The 14-inch Snow Hog wheels manoeuvre well on icy surfaces and slopes, while the differential lock makes the wheels independent to handle even difficult traffic jams.
The ST 4262 PB handles well with frozen crust up to half a metre high, clearing an area 62 cm wide. The snow chute can be adjusted in height and horizontally, providing a mass ejection up to 10 m away. All control levers are concentrated on the dashboard, which is very convenient. Can be operated with one hand.
Safe and comfortable
To make working with the snow blower as comfortable as possible, the handles made of soft elastic material have a heating function, and the halogen headlights turn on automatically when the engine is started. At night, they provide good lighting, and during the day they are signal beacons to increase the safety of work, especially if they are carried out next to or on the roadway. You can't force the headlights to turn off. So, you have to put up with light accompaniment even in sunny weather.
Given all the characteristics, Stiga ST 4262 PB can be safely called one of the best snow blowers in the middle class, although quite expensive. However, for a thousand euros you can hardly find better.
