The heart of the snow blower is a 4-stroke Briggs and Stratton 950 engine with 6.3 HP, specially designed for operation in winter conditions at temperatures down to -29 ºC. It has a fuel tank capacity of 3 liters and a sump capacity of 0.6 liters. With average work intensity, one refueling will last 1 – 1.5 hours. Whether this is a lot or a little depends on the area being cleared. In addition to manual start, the engine also has an electric start function with a key.
All snowdrifts are manageable
The machine is equipped with an 8-speed gearbox with 6 forward and two reverse gears, which can be switched on the move. 14-inch wheels with Snow Hog treads are well-suited for maneuvering on icy surfaces and slopes, and the differential unlocking, making the wheels independent, allows it to cope even with difficult blockages.
The ST 4262 PB handles frozen crust up to half a meter in height, clearing an area 62 cm wide. The snow discharge chute can be adjusted vertically and horizontally, allowing the mass to be cast up to 10 m away. All control levers are concentrated on the instrument panel, which is very convenient. It can be operated with one hand.
Safe and Comfortable
To make using the snow blower as comfortable as possible, handles made of soft elastic material feature a heating function, and halogen headlights turn on automatically when the engine starts.
