The body of the tent in the form of a semi-barrel is held by a frame of 6 fibreglass arches. A strong polyester outer canopy covers the two sleeping quarters and forms a roomy vestibule.
In the model range of the Ukrainian manufacturer Terra Incognita, the 8-seater model is the most spacious and roomy. And with a good margin, because they are followed by various solutions for five, like Family 5. It is intended for camping camps or long-term parking in nature and is positioned as a three-season.
Tall and spacious vestibule with a pair of entrances
Terra Incognita Grand 8 received two entrances that lead to a high (2 metres) and spacious vestibule. Its total area is 6.5 "squares", which is comparable to some small-sized kitchens in our apartments. Both entrances provide windows, and one entrance group can be supplemented with an awning (using two complete racks 1.85 m high) and thereby increase the space closed from the sun and precipitation. To create even more comfort, a removable vestibule floor is included in the delivery set.
Large lounges
On both sides of the vestibule there are bedrooms of the same size — 220x260x165 cm. In terms of one user, the width of the bed is 65 cm, so if you make some room, then a fifth person will fit in each room.
The entrances to the recreation area, as expected, are duplicated with mosquito nets, and there are pockets for small change in the rooms and in the vestibule.
Durable frame and protected fabrics
The Terra Incognita Grand 8 half-barrel is shaped by 6 fibreglass arcs. Two of their pairs form an X-shaped structure at the centre, and the remaining ones play the role of single side supports. The polyester outer tent is covered with polyurethane with a water protection of 3000 mm, and the bottom is made of dense Oxford synthetic material (5000 mm).
The weight and dimensions when folded are 16.7 kg and 70x32x32 cm, respectively. For camping and the proposed 8 places, these are quite acceptable figures.
In the middle price segment, the positions of the Terra Incognita Grand 8 are very convincing. The tent is durable, reliable and well thought out. The layout "two by four" can be considered optimal either for two families with children, or for a group of tourists with a division into female and male parts.
