A new digital image processing technology based on the Cell processor, which improves image quality several times, bringing it as close as possible to FULL HD resolution. Moreover, not only all 2 million pixels (1920x1080) of the screen are involved, but also image processing algorithms, under the action of which the final image receives smoother colour transitions, which ultimately gives an improved image texture.

Compatible with 24-frame system (24fps)
All modern films are shot at 24 frames per second (24 Hz), but the television standard implies transmission at 50 frames per second, or 50 Hz (PAL, SECAM), which requires a number of conversions. Movies are played back about 4% faster, resulting in a higher sound quality. In the NTSC system, the frame rate is 60Hz. To make the signal compatible with 24 Hz, one movie frame is shown for 3 fields, and the other for 2 fields — in total, there are 5 television frames for 4 movie frames. All these conversions degrade the quality of films to varying degrees, leading to a “film judder” effect. The new REGZA TVs use two jitter reduction systems: Motion vector compensation and Film judder canceller.
