Sleeping Bag Trimm Cyklo 185

A light weight. Compact when folded.

Cocoon with a hood of the Czech manufacturer Trimm is characterized by light weight (650 grams) and compact dimensions when folded. This will be appreciated by fans of hiking and cycling less than 185 cm tall, for which the model is designed. The sleeping bag is designed for overnight stay in the warm season, from the second half of spring to mid-autumn: it will be warm in it at air temperatures in the region of 6 – 10 °C above zero.

The Trimm Cyklo 185 sleeping bag received DuPont SEE synthetic insulation, which is covered with nylon fabric on the outside and inside, which is additionally protected from tearing. Ease of use is designed to provide a high-quality zipper with bite protection, an inner pocket, drying loops and a complete compression bag. Before buying, it is worth considering the relatively small width of the model at the shoulders, which is 78 cm.

Lightweight and compact

In the Trimm brand line, the sleeping bag is the lightest. It weighs only 650 grams, which can be a significant advantage for hiking and nature outings on a bicycle.

The Trimm Cyklo 185 won't take up much space in your backpack. So, the dimensions of the model by default are 27x15x15 cm, and if the complete compression bag is compressed, it is only 19x15x15 cm (the volume is just over 4 liters).

Best spring/summer option

The cocoon sleeping bag received only one layer of insulation, made of DuPont SEE synthetic material. It is located between the nylon "top" and "bottom". Interestingly, even the lining includes RipStop weaving: it is designed to increase the overall wear resistance of the product.

Without the risk of freezing in Trimm Cyklo 185, it is permissible to spend the night when the air temperature drops to values in the region of 10 °C (for women) — 6 °C (for men) of heat. Under extreme conditions, the cocoon should protect from hypothermia when it drops to -5 °C, but, of course, it is better to refrain from such experiments.

Full hardware

The equipment of the sleeping bag fully complies with current standards. So, the version with left and right zippers can be zipped into one large sleeping bag. For drying, special loops are offered. For convenience, there is a compartment for a pillow in the hood, an inner pocket, a tight insert along the zipper, which prevents the fabric from biting.

The model is designed for height up to 185 cm. Taller tourists need an elongated variation — Cyklo 195. Both versions have a base 80 cm in width in the shoulder area, but at the legs they are narrower than usual (only 45 cm). As a result, there may be a feeling of tightness, especially for those with large / wide feet.

A closer look at the Trimm Cyklo 185 is definitely worth it for light walkers (tourists seeking to reduce the weight of equipment as much as possible) and all those who prefer hiking mainly in warm weather (from late spring to early autumn).
