Great Choice for the City
The Urbis brand scooter is well-suited for urban commuting. The 7.8 Ah battery provides a range of up to 25 km, which is usually sufficient for daily commutes to work or study. The 350 W motor allows speeds of up to 25 km/h, and there's a second speed mode with a limit of 15 km/h.
Weighing 12.2 kg, the Urbis U3.2 model is designed to support a load of up to 100 kg. The convenient folding mechanism deserves special attention. The manufacturer claims increased construction reliability, an extended lever for quicker and more comfortable gripping, and a rear fender locking mechanism to prevent accidental unfolding.
Operational Safety
The electric scooter is equipped with two brakes— a rear drum and a front electric brake. The latter works alongside the regenerative system, which, when regularly riding downhill, helps slightly increase the range by recharging the battery. Safety is also ensured by standard lighting elements—front headlight and brake light, side reflectors, and noticeable bright inserts on the body. Additional features are accessible via connection to the proprietary mobile app via Bluetooth.
Among the drawbacks, it takes around 3 to 5 hours for a full charge, and the comfort on uneven roads could be better. This is due to the lack of suspension and the 8.5-inch solid tires, which don't soften bumps and tile joints very well. Otherwise, the Urbis U3.2 appears to be a good option for those looking for a relatively lightweight city electric scooter at a reasonable price.
