Quick assembly inflatable frame
The flagship 8-seater tent of the Scottish brand Vango has acquired the proprietary AirBeam quick assembly system. So, the frame is formed by inflatable beams, which are compact when folded, durable, not afraid of temperature changes and wind loads.
One person can assemble the Vango Longleat Air 800XL: you just need to put it out of the case and pump it up. Simplify and speed up the process (it is stated that installation takes 12 minutes) will allow a complete pump that works in tandem with a two-way AirSpeed valve for both inflation and deflation.
2 rooms convertible into four
The tent received a tunnel shape (7 metres long) with a mirror layout: sleeping areas measuring 210x240x190 cm are opposite each other, and between them there is a vestibule with a two-metre ceiling and an area of just under 6 m². Each room is provided with a dividing partition, which allows you to additionally "split" it into two 2-seater recreation areas.
In the vestibule, in addition to two doors, there are a pair of multifunctional windows (both for ventilation and for lighting), but there is no canopy (there are no corresponding racks in the kit). But even without it, there is a lot of space protected from the sun and precipitation: a few tourist chairs will fit in addition to the table and equipment.
Protected and comfortable
If the outer tent, made of Sentinel Active material, has basic protection against water (3000 mm), then the bottom, with taped seams and increased wear resistance, is almost ready for floods (water resistance of 10,000 mm).
Pleasant little things are designed to increase the convenience of vacationers: organizer pockets, lantern mounts (in bedrooms and vestibule), mosquito nets. Additional nice features include reflective elements on the guys, the ability to fold the threshold at the entrance to ground level, as well as a port for laying electrical wires (useful in equipped camping towns).
The disadvantages of the model include a large weight (22.8 kg) and high cost even by the standards of multi-seat solutions. But if you're looking for a cool 8-person tent with a quick-build system, then the Vango Longleat Air 800XL is a worthwhile investment, and it's virtually the only one of its kind on the market.
