The VDO wired bike computer is a budget solution and the youngest representative of the brand line. The model is positioned as a no-frills device, which means it is best suited for beginner cyclists or those who only need to collect basic training data. The wheel speed sensor, which is fixed on the fork and connected to the head unit using wires, is able to determine such data about rides as speed (current, peak and average), distance and total mileage, travel time.
The VDO R1 WR bike computer automatically turns on - it recognizes the rotation of the wheels, and when there is no movement, it automatically goes into sleep mode. A 2-line monochrome screen is provided for reading data. The upper field shows the current speed, and in the lower field you can switch the indicators (using the red button on the end of the case) - up to displaying the time (clock function). Separately, it is worth highlighting the presence of non-volatile memory, that is, when replacing the batteries, all user statistics will not be lost. In addition, the device should operate for about 3 years on one CR2032 battery.
