I purchased a pump for installation in my country house. The technician who installed my heating assured me that in my case, a circulation pump was completely unnecessary, but it turned out to be the opposite. After all the installation work was completed, it became apparent that the system was not functioning correctly - the water in the pipes was barely moving. As a result, I had to urgently buy a pump. The system was set up in such a way that only a vertical pump would fit, and these models were scarce in the market (or too expensive). Honestly, I chose this pump only because it fit the size and could be installed vertically. To my delight, after installing it, the system worked perfectly - water circulates without any issues throughout the entire heating system (and I have quite a large house). The manufacturer included threaded connections, so there was no need for additional welding work. In my situation, there's no need to keep the pump running constantly - running the system twice a day for a few minutes is sufficient, after which the power can be turned off. The manufacturer provides three operating modes, or rather - three levels of speed rotation. Mainly, I use the pump on the second level, which is sufficient, although it also circulates water on the first. At the third speed setting (the highest one), there is an unpleasant noise. I'm not sure if the pump is directly to blame for this (it's possible this is a peculiarity of my heating system). |
The pumps HAVE already outlasted 4 (four) warranty periods. And two out of three are still working. And they work silently. The third one was just replaced recently, on November 14, 2015. I temporarily installed an "Oasis" for 2650 rubles as I urgently had to go to my son's country house and couldn't find a Wilo Star. What I saw was over 10,000 rubles. We removed the broken pump ourselves and installed the new one (loosened and tightened two nuts). Having bought this cheap Oasis by chance, I thought about buying the other two pumps as Oasis as well, since in appearance and parameters, they seemed no different from Wilo, but the price was half. However, after rethinking, browsing the internet, assessing the price-quality ratio, and considering my own EXPERIENCE, I decided to go for Wilo again at 5190 rubles each. I'll buy two (maybe three) new ones and even replace those that are still working (keeping them as backups). Honestly, it's only now I realized how good the Wilo pumps are that the builders installed in my house back in 2004. The main advantage of any working device, and even more so a heating pump, is NOT to remind you of your presence due to breakdowns. In my house there are THREE Wilo Star-RS 25/7, for each floor of the house on a separate circuit. So I remembered the pump (one of the pumps) only after 12 (twelve years) or rather seasons, when it stopped working - the batteries on the ground floor cooled down. They work completely silently. About seven years ago, in our places, the voltage was 170-190 volts and constant jumps. The pumps did not respond to these drops. The voltage is 170, and they are twisting ... In the last three years (this is after 9 years of operation), the power switching rheostats on two pumps started acting up a bit. It was necessary to find the switch position for the pump to work. Now, one switch must be set only in the middle position of the three possible ones. But this is because the contact group is acting up, and it's a hassle to take it apart and repair it. However, this is the kind of "flaw" that's more about "just finding something." Overall, there are no deficiencies. |
Five pumps were installed (large house); they have been operating for fifteen years. No problems!!! I did not find any shortcomings. use Wilo Star-RS 25/7 month or more |
