For more than 130 years, the Japanese company Yamaha has specialized in the production of musical instruments and audio equipment and excels at it. Yamaha PSR E363 is a high-quality and affordable synthesizer for the development of musical abilities, amateur performance.
Versatile design
The model has a strict geometric shape with dimensions of 945x118x368 mm and a weight of 4.6 kg, which is almost half the weight of most professional models.
The 61-note full-size, semi-weighted keyboard is inferior in feel to a piano, but it has pressure sensitivity, which means it will be easier to get used to playing a professional instrument later.
"Delicious hardware"
A metronome and learning mode make it easy to learn the instrument, while 48-voice polyphony, 574 built-in tones, 165 accompaniment styles and a sequencer turn it into a small studio for creating your own compositions.
The split keyboard feature helps you learn how to play two instruments at the same time: play the bass part on the left side, and piano, strings, and wind instruments on the right side. Many will also like the harmonization effect that works in the auto accompaniment mode. Under the selected style, you can beat the composition with whole chords by pressing one key.
The Melody Supressor function is also noteworthy, allowing you to play along with a song from the player, removing the melodic line from it.
Two speakers with a total power of 5 W and independent power supply make the model convenient for outdoor events where there is no way to connect to a power outlet and amplifying equipment. For songwriters, a mic input would be nice, but it's not available here. But there are connectors for headphones and pedals, a mini-Jack (3.5 mm) for an analogue input signal and a USB port that allows you to connect the synthesizer to a computer to expand the bank of effects and record music.
With its democratic value, Yamaha PSR E363 sounds very good. The implementation of “live” sounds from the category of strings and winds, of course, does not reach the real ones, but to satisfy the needs of students of music schools and to sound various events, including small concerts, the model is quite enough.
