The case is designed to assemble an OEM computer, that is, it is a system unit for an ordinary home gaming computer with no higher than average performance. Although the case has a solid capacity, the ventilation system is not very powerful. Cooling is represented by only 3 fans with a 120 mm impeller. There are no places to install additional coolers. This means that high-performance components that are often heated to “hot” cannot be used in the Zalman Z1 Neo case. The rest of the system unit has an excellent configuration. There is a viewing window on the side. 2 front fans with LED lighting (rear fan is not illuminated). There are USB 2.0 (two ports) and USB 3.0 (one port) interfaces, 3.5 mm headphone and microphone jack...s. On the front side there is a plug for installing a 5.25" drive. Inside the case, you can mount 4 devices for 3.5" and 5 devices for 2.5". The length of the graphics adapter can be up to 370 mm. 160 mm. |

The case is low cost, average. The main advantage is the price. Aggressive but not flashy design. Comes with two 120 cm stock fans for intake and one 120 cm for exhaust. You can install a tower cooler on the CPU like a be quiet! up to 160 cm tall. An extra-long RTX ROG Strix over 300 cm fits without any issues. There’s an external 5.25" bay for a dashboard card reader with USB 3.0. Enough internal slots (bays) to mount 3 or more SSDs. Also fits 3.5" HDDs for your file dump. The main drawback is the lack of top exhaust ventilation. Warm air always rises, hits a solid panel, and then flows back toward the CPU and motherboard. One modest rear exhaust fan will never handle that circulation, so the heat just stays trapped inside the case. It’s not just that you can’t add extra exhaust fans—there aren’t even any ventilation grilles on the top! It’s not hard to guess where that leads. The second drawback is material quality: cheap plastic, a flimsy build, steel under 0.5 mm. The whole structure bends easily by hand. You can forget about any soundproofing—the frame is really weak. And there are definite cable management problems: the cutouts are too narrow, and there’s too little space behind the side panel to route cables properly. |
