It is the third generation of the renowned Noctua S12 line, which has received over 250 awards from the international tech press. It uses the S-Series blade geometry with Anti-Stall Knobs, complemented by the AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame. This design improves airflow efficiency and reduces noise by up to 8% compared to previous generations. The fourth-generation SSO2 (Self-Stabilising Oil Pressure Bearing) with a metal bushing ensures stable, smooth operation with an incredible lifespan of over 150,000 hours (6-year warranty).

The fan is equipped with the proprietary NE-FD1 microcontroller with SCD (Smooth Commutation Drive) technology, which reduces pulsations and noise at low speeds.
