It does not have its own DRAM buffer, but thanks to HMB support and the presence of a dynamic SLC c...ache, it is able to use a small fragment of system memory as a buffer. To minimize potential overheating of the controller, the entire front panel of the drive was covered with a neat and attractive heatsink made in blue and gold tones. The widely used PCI-E 3.0 interface is used for data exchange, which increases the compatibility of the drive with laptops and motherboards from 5 or 6 years ago. Under these conditions, A-Data LEGEND 710 demonstrates solid, but far from record-breaking performance, writing and reading information at a maximum speed of 1600 and 2000 MB/s, respectively. The drive comes with a package of SSD Toolbox software, which can be useful for backing up data, monitoring the “health” of the drive and updating the firmware. |
