A tiny, similar to a regular flash drive, mobile SSD drive that provides high data transfer speeds - 5 Gbps with a maximum storage capacity of up to 2 TB (note: in this version 500 GB). It belongs to the entry-level price segment and does not feature support for any unusual technologies or lightning-fast recording speed. Rather, it is a more convenient, faster and more reliable alternative to old and bulky portable HDDs, which operate much slower and are much more susceptible to mechanical damage.

To connect to external sources, the device uses a USB-C class 3.2 Gen 2 connector, which provides write/read speeds of up to 550/500 MB/s. On average, this is 5 times faster than the HDDs mentioned above, but at the same time 2 times slower than many modern SSDs that support the 3.2 Gen 2 interface. At the same time, A-Data SC610 is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 3.0 interfaces, providing a single data storage solution on all your devices.

The design of the device resembles the most common USB flash drive with a USB-C connector and a removable plastic cap that protects the connector from damage. The baby weighs only 13 grams, and its dimensions are 67x24x10 mm, that is, you can even carry it in a wallet pocket or the smallest pocket of a bag. In addition to the Windows platform, the manufacturer promises full compatibility with laptops and Linux. No additional software or drivers are required. The only condition is to support the appropriate version of the USB interface, otherwise the gadget will become a bottleneck that limits the speed of the SSD.
